Analytics, only with your consent
We would like to know which pages get read, and use Google Analytics for that. Nothing from Google is loaded until you choose Allow analytics in the banner. If you say no, or never answer, no analytics script runs and no analytics cookie is set.
If you allow it, Google Analytics sets the cookies _ga and _ga_<id>, which last
up to two years and tell one browser from another. Google receives the pages you open here, roughly where you
are (country and city, taken from your IP address, which Google does not store) and what browser and device you
use. The service is provided by Google Ireland Limited, and the data may be processed outside the EU.
You can change your mind at any time with Cookie settings in the footer. Choosing No thanks there stops the measuring and removes the analytics cookies from this browser.
What is kept in your browser
These are stored locally and are never sent to us:
- your choice of light or dark theme, if you have used the toggle
- your answer to the analytics question
- which option you picked in the live poll demo, so you can change your vote
Clearing the site's data in your browser removes all three.
The demos
The demos are live and shared. The name you enter, your chat messages and your cursor position are passed on to the other people who have the same demo open, at that moment. None of it is saved: when you close the page it is gone, and poll counts live only in the server's memory.
Do not type anything in a demo that you would not say in a public room.
What the server sees
Like every web server, ours sees your IP address, the time and the page you asked for. That is used to serve the page, to limit how fast one address can call the demo endpoints, and in ordinary access logs kept for running the service and keeping it secure. It is not used to follow you around or shared with advertisers.
The site's fonts, scripts and images are served from pikoman.se itself, not from another company's servers.
When you write to us
If you email us, we keep your message and address for as long as it takes to answer you and to set up and look after your app.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and object to how it is used. Write to hello@pikoman.se. If you are not happy with the answer, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).
