Pay for connections and messages, nothing else
Both plans have presence channels, client messages, the HTTP API, and keys with rights for your backends. They differ in how many clients can be connected at once, how many messages you send in a day, and bots: a program that sits in your channels with its own key needs Pro.

Larger volumes, or your own servers
Above 1,000 connections we agree a price for your volume. Pikoman can also run inside your own network, for plants and organisations whose data may not leave the building.
How usage is counted
- What is a connection?
- One open WebSocket. A browser tab, a tablet on the shop floor and a wall display are one connection each, however many channels they listen to. A plan's limit is on how many are open at the same moment, not on how many people use your product in a month.
- What is a message?
- One delivery to one client. Publishing an event that 40 connected screens receive counts as 40. Joining, leaving and keep-alive pings are not counted.
- Does a bot count as a connection?
- Yes, while it is connected: a bot, MCP server or LLM that joins channels holds one open WebSocket, like a browser tab. A backend that only publishes over HTTP uses no connection.
- What happens at the limit?
- Nothing is cut off mid-day. We write to you when you pass a limit, and ask you to move to Pro, or agree a larger volume, if it keeps happening.
- Can I change plan?
- At any time. Moving to Pro applies at once; going back to Free applies from the next month.
